Best of both worlds
Barcelona has direct access to the 250 shops and restaurants of the Irvine Spectrum Center, 900 high-tech companies in the Spectrum District and even the beach.
“We’re 10 minutes from Laguna Beach,” says Brett. “So that’s great.”
And because Irvine Spectrum was designed to connect residents with offices, shopping, and open space, they can walk or bike to the Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, which includes 40 miles of hiking trails through some of the most pristine coastal canyons in Southern California.
Happy children, happy family
Susana and Brett in particular are happy that their children are happy with their new home. Isabella, 6, is in kindergarten and Luca, 4, is in preschool.
“The kids enjoy the brand new playground and all these fun things,” says Susana.
Since the neighborhood is gated, your park is private. Amenities include a spa, a large lawn, BBQ facilities, and a lap pool where the kids took swimming lessons last summer.
In addition, the adjacent Los Olivos Community Park has a soccer field, a baseball field with bleachers, a basketball court, and tennis courts, all of which are lit at night. The whole family plays tennis and spends a lot of time on the courts.
