Sure, it’s hot outside (it’s September in Southern California, after all) but reviewer Brad A. Johnson reminds us that soup makes everything better, which might be especially true during a pandemic.
Yuk Dae Jang, which recently opened locations in Irvine and Buena Park, specializes in Korean beef soups with rich bone broths.

New start of JT Schmid’s

The bronze quail closes
The Bronze Quail, a rework of the former Journeyman’s Food + Drink at the Fullerton Hotel, is closed for good. It was temporarily closed on March 17 because of the pandemic and decided not to reopen, a spokesman confirmed. Anne Valdespino has more. Continue reading.
