IRVINE, AB- – A 100 year old building that houses books for the small hamlet of Irvine could get a major facelift in the future.

Cypress County intends to possibly replace the old library that used to be the hamlet’s office.

The current library provides books, computer access, and programming for young families.

“Libraries are an integral part of a community and we want to have libraries as this is an extension for all of our staff and this is just to keep it going,” said Tarolyn Aaserud, CAO of Cypress County.
