Marufuku Ramen is because of open a restaurant in Irvine this summer season – Orange County Register

Marufuku Ramen has announced plans to bring two new fast food restaurants to California, one in Redwood City, by the Broadway stores in the heart of the theater district, and the other in Irvine on Los Olivos Marketplace.

The 4200 square foot Irvine location will be owned and operated by Olivos SR, LLC and is expected to open this summer.

Marufuku is best known for its Hakata-style tonkotsu ramen with pork broth and chicken paitan with chicken broth. The bar serves wine, beer and sake.

“We are very excited to expand our reach in our home state of California,” said Eiichi Mochizuki, co-founder of Marufuku Ramen, in a press release. “Our team can’t wait to meet our guests from Irvine and Redwood City and serve them our Hakata-style ramen.”

The San Francisco-based brand has locations in Japantown, Oakland and Frisco, Texas in San Francisco.
