IRVINE, Calif. (KABC) – Irvine police are seeking help from the public in identifying a man suspected of having sexually committed an 11-year-old girl in a Target store.
The incident took place on Monday at the store at 13200 Jamboree Road, according to a statement from Irvine police.
The victim was in the store with her family when the suspect followed her. When the victim briefly separated from her family and went to another corridor, the suspect walked up to her from behind and touched her, the statement said.
The girl ran away and found her family while the suspect ran out of the store, got into a vehicle and left the area, police said. Detectives assume that the man drove a green Kia Soul.
The suspect is described as fair-skinned, 5 feet, 7 inches tall and slender, 35 to 45 years old, wearing a long-sleeved shirt with rolled-up sleeves, gray pants at the bottom and flip-flops, police said in the statement.
