Work on the new facilities at the Keith Irvine Oval in Jamberoo will begin this month.
The provision of amenities in the oval will greatly help the soccer, cricket and touch soccer clubs that make use of the ground.
The new amenities, which are fully accessible, include changing rooms, restrooms, storage rooms and a kiosk for teams and spectators.
The council has already installed lights on Keith Irvine so they can be used for training at night.
Once the amenities are complete, the council will improve the access road and parking for Keith Irvine.
This is the final phase of the $ 1.44 million Jamberoo Sporting Precinct project funded by the New South Wales Government and Kiama Council.
So far, this major project has provided:
- Kevin Walsh Oval – Amenities renovation, new fences, seating, and better drainage.
- Jamberoo Croquet Club – improved drainage

- Keith Irvine – new sports field lighting
Construction of the equipment block at Keith Irvine is being carried out by Deane Construction Pty Ltd. carried out.
