Irvine has long had the stigma of being a taco wasteland, says Brad A. Johnson.
If you wanted a taco in town, your options were Taco Bell, Del Taco, Rubio’s, and the like, but Irvine is slowly changing. It now has options like Puesto, Taqueria Taco Patio, and most recently, Tavos Cocina.
Tavo’s recently started serving old-school California Mexican food at Irvine’s Trade Food Hall, and that’s something the city has long needed, according to Johnson. Continue reading.
