The US streamer Discovery + has commissioned a culinary competition series, which is hosted by Restaurant: Impossible’s Robert Irvine.
Each episode of The Globe features four chefs competing in an arena where the scenery changes to show different places around the world using LED screens.
The locations shown determine the topic of the round, with the chefs limiting themselves to local ingredients. The locations used include Paris, Mumbai, Florence and Addis Ababa.
The five-part series begins streaming on July 17th and is produced by Lando Entertainment of LA.
